Dr. Samuel Yen-Liang Yin

Dr. Samuel Yen-Liang Yin / CEO of Ruentex Group, is the Founder and the 1st President of TCIAE, Founder of the Tang Prize, Honorary President of IAE, Chief Vice President of IAE, Academician of the RAE and IAE, Fellow of National Academy of Inventors. He has permanently dedicated himself to revolutionizing construction methods, having developed comprehensive building construction technologies encompassing manufacture, material, design and management. Dr. Yin’s construction technologies have been applied widely to the construction of facilities in Taiwan’s technology industry, resulting in a dramatic improvement in seismic resistance of RC structures. These technologies have been adopted in Singapore and Mainland China and have received worldwide recognition from institutions in the US, EU, Japan, and Russia, a strong testament to Dr. Yin’s significant contributions to this field. His honors include Honorary Doctorates from SBRAS (2019), the 1st Samuel Yin Medal from IAE (2019), Distinguished Lecturer for Outstanding Entrepreneurship from College of Engineering, National Taiwan University (2019), Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award from US CAAPS (2015), Henry L. Michel Award for Industry Advancement of Research from ASCE (2010), Medal of Engineering Courage (2010) and Medal of Engineering Glory (2008) from IAE. Dr. Yin has also been awarded honorary doctorate by well-known universities such as NTU, Peking University, PolyU, etc. He has by far obtained 614 patents in 19 countries and published more than 150 papers.
